Introduction

The Indian motorcycle company based in Mysore is Ideal Jawa which is popularly known as Jawa.  It was started in the year 1960 under the brand name Ideal Jawa, later known as Yezdi. The main objective was to manufacture motorcycles. The company mainly manufactured the two wheelers to produce a best product for the customers that defined the value of money. The ideology that determines behind a product is Forever bike For ever value which as remained unchanged till this day. Two buildings have been set up, the older one set in 1960 has facilities provided for manufacture of components for 250cc motorcycles and its conference. And the recent one is set with facilities for the manufacture of components for the 350 cc and 60cc motorcycles.

In technical collaboration, Jawa started commercial production of motorcycles which put up a good performance and profitability in the year 1961 to 1985. The establishment has made in house expertise for succeeding indigenous manufacturing technology and created vehicles under the brand Yezdi. Its market was established widely in western, southern, and northern regions.

There was an aggressive entrance into domestic market of Ideal Jawa by Japanese technology which led to manufacture of vehicles of 100 cc categories with well versed design, advanced technology with more fuel efficient.Without losing the brand loyalty, the company remained unchanged even though competition was held. The major feature of the Ideal Jawa is its attractive prices and low costs.

Models of Jawa

There are various models produced by Ideal Jawa two wheelers some are as follows:

Yezdi/ Jawa 350 twin type 634, 175 Yezdi deluxe, 250 type Jawa, Supersprint 250 Yezdi

60 Colt deluxe, 250 Yezdi Road king, B type 250 Yezdi, “B” series jet 60 and Classic D250 Yezdi.

Designs of Jawa

Ideal Jawa is very well designed two wheelers. The model Yezdi 250 cc is an excellent condition which is good to ride with extra road clearance. Appearance is very good looking with a battery fit. It has a good usage condition.  Jawa produced the two wheelers with bright colors which attracts the customers. Yezdi 350 is designed as a spirited and delicate racehorse. They are credited with friendly designs.

Power train of Jawa

Yezdi 350 and CL2 250 cc models have high standards. This 350 model is totally different in which two cylinder fed by one carb and the power train is pumping out 24 bhp and oodles of mid range torque.  The twin cylinders are 175cc each with perfectly cooling fins leading to ignition coils nestling on both the side of the frame under the tank. Powerful push brings the engine to life. A 12 volt unit has been fit. It gives a comfortable impression on running with fool proof system. Original electrical parts are used in the production of this model. It has high gearing ratios due to 4 speed gear box. 350 is a powerful brand which starts around2800 rpm. It’s a low rev bike with mileage figures of 30 per liter. The rider will feel comfortable and relaxed when riding it.

Jawa 350 is a classic bike with speed limit of 132.0kn/h is a 2 stroke air cooled 343.00ccm.Twin type engine has been used which gets the power to rear wheel with a chain driven transmission. The front tyre is of 3.25 sizes and rear tyre is 3.50 sizes. Braking system is very expanded in which you can ensure quick stopping. It is very reliable with two strokes.

Safety

Ideal Jawa bikes are opted for Indian army. They are manufactured with cruise gear box with a single carb engine at a top speeds. Wonderful braking system is presented which is all in all produced with good performance and safety.

Competition

Difficult competition was faced by the Ideal Jawa when Japanese technology bikes entered into domestic markets. The consumer attitudes changed when Japanese bikes came into market because it was offered with good style, comfort and mileage. This led to a serious issue of great competition with Japanese products. Realizing this Ideal Jawa Limited came out with various designs to attract consumers.
